Starting Personal Training

Starting Personal Training.

It’s almost September now and the summer is drawing to an end.

September is a busy month in the personal training world – second only to January as the month when new clients sign up to get fit and healthy.

The summer months are often spent attending social events, over indulging on holiday, or looking after the children.

Once the summer social and holiday seasons are over, and the children are back at school, it’s a great time to think about starting personal training.

If you are thinking about starting personal training this September, then make sure you chose a qualified, fully insured and first aid qualified PT.

Ask to see copies of the certificates, and references from current or previous clients – any trainer worth their salt will be happy to show you.

Don’t hand over large amounts of money until you have met the trainer and experienced a trial session.

Any reputable personal trainer will be happy to offer a trial session and consultation at their regular hourly rate.

Beware of the trainer who demands thousands up front – I know clients who have been ripped off by unscrupulous trainers who disappeared into thin air the moment they received payment.

Check that the trainer or company you are dealing with has a proven track record in your area, and watch out for those who don’t have a website or any online presence.
