Face Yoga – the popular holistic practice to maintain your beauty naturally!

Using anti-wrinkle creams and serums loaded with harmful chemicals and toxins can be frightening and they usually bring disappointment.

There is an easier, more natural way of boosting youthfulness and slow down the ageing process.

The theory behind yoga for the face is that just as your body needs regular exercise to stay tone and firm, the 57 muscles in the face and neck also need to be exercise.

Last weekend I attended a Face Yoga Workshop in the historic city of Bath, which was run by a world leading face yoga expert Danielle Collins.

She created The Face Yoga Method which combines yoga, acupressure and massage relaxation techniques.

Danielle explains: “As your face muscles become stronger through exercise, they are lifted and firmed and the skin attached to the muscles is also lifted and taunted, therefore reducing lines and wrinkles”.

The massage techniques increase circulation, lymph flow and remove toxins, improving skin tone, reducing puffiness and dark circles.

More benefits of ?face yoga include: reducing headaches and eyes strain, releasing tension (it is incredible how much stress we carry around in our face and neck), toning facial and neck muscles so as you exercise these muscles, you are drawing blood, oxygen and extra circulation to this delicate skin, which can stimulate collagen production and brings glow.

Face yoga can help you eliminate a double chin, as well.

The time it takes to see changes varies from person to person.

You will start to see improvement in your face and neck after 2 weeks of regular, carried out daily for 5-10 minutes exercises.

Why not to try it yourself?

Face yoga is the perfect holistic solution instead of pumping your face with botox and fillers.

Remember, just taking time to relax is extremely beneficial – what happens on the inside, radiates on the outside.
